Madeleine McCann's parents are a lot smarter when it comes to public relations

Casey Anthony's parents fumbled a chance for an interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Madeleine McCann's parents didn't. I guess they're a lot smarter when it comes to public relations.

You can see Kate and Gerry McCann on Monday's show, which airs at 4 p.m. on WFTV-Channel 9.

When the British girl disappeared in Portugal two years ago, the story generated headlines worldwide.

An age-progression image of what Madeleine might look like at 6 will be unveiled on today's Winfrey show.

The Oprah folks billed her interview with the McCanns as "gripping" and "heartfelt." The show visits the McCanns' home and their 4-year-old twins, Amelie and Sean.

Winfrey asks about the couple's marriage. "Child abduction, I think, could destroy any family," Gerry says. "There's no doubt about it. It's one of the most devastating things ... But we've been supported tremendously well, and I think that's helped us stay strong and stay together."
